Narayani Gopan, born into a musical family, is a versatile playback singer trained in both Carnatic and Hindustani traditions.
Born into a musical family, Narayani Gopan began her training under her father, playback singer Kallara Gopan, and later with the legendary violinist B. Sasikumar. She went on to learn Hindustani Classical from Abhraditha Banerjee, while actively participating in youth festivals and competitions alongside her studies. At the age of nine, she made her playback debut in the film Winter composed by M. R. Rajakrishnan.
Her breakthrough came in 2019 as one of the top six contestants on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa (Zee Keralam), which reintroduced her to the Malayalam film industry. Since then, she has rendered several memorable songs including Raathein and Oru Swapnam Pole (Love Action Drama), Kanne Kanne (Shylock), Kanne Uyirin (The Priest – Mirchi Music Award 2021 for Best Female Upcoming Singer), Uyire Oru Janmam Ninne (Minnal Murali – Big Screen Award 2021), Onnaam Kandam (Aarattu), Kural Kelkitha (Hridayam), Oru Naalithal (John Luther), Karumbaninningu Varumo Kaare (Pathonpathaam Noottandu), and Nizhale Nee (Ennaalum Entaliya), among others.
She has had the privilege of working with the legendary M. K. Arjunan and many leading composers of the current era, including National Award winner M. Jayachandran, Shaan Rahman, Rahul Raj, Gopi Sundar, Jakes Bejoy, Hesham Abdul Wahab, William Francis, Sayanora, Palee Francis, and Prasanth Pillai.
