Nikhil Palluruthi, a seasoned Carnatic Music Teacher and Performer with over 20 years of experience in India and the UK, holds an MA in MUSIC from RLV College of Music and Fine Arts. A proud custodian of tradition, he is the grandson of the Late Kunjan Velu Bhagavathar, the first guru of Padmavibhooshan Dr. KJ Yesudas. Nikhil has been a devoted disciple of Late Sri Ramankutty Bhagavathar, Sri Vaikkom Arun Kumar (Kalabhavan), and Sri. Cheppad Vamanan Namboothiri (AIR, Thrissur).
Currently undertaking advanced studies in Carnatic music under the guidance of Sangeetha Kalacharya Prof. Sri Thamarakkad Govindan Namboothiri (Retired Principal, RLV College of Music and Fine Arts). With a rich background, Nikhil has also served as an Assistant Music Director, collaborating with legends in the film industry such as M. K Arjunan Master, Sri. S. Rameshan Nair, and Sri. Kavalam Narayana Panicker. His musical prowess extends to captivating performances in various music festivals across South India.
